Currently holds the position of National Chairman of ICPAK after being elected in June 2021. He is the immediate former National Vice Chairman; a position he held for two years from 2019- 2021.
He is the Managing Partner of Mokua Onwonga & Co., Certified Public Accountants, the Company Secretary of Kenya Petroleum Refineries Ltd and the Vice Chairman of the Mombasa County Public Service Board where he also chairs the Board Audit, and Compliance Committee in addition to being a member of the Complaints Committee of the Board.
CPA Onwong’a holds a Master’s Degree in Business administration, he is a practicing member of ICPAK, and has over 22 years post qualification experience. He is an expert in Public Procurement and oversees business development matters in the firm.
He has served in Public sector, and has amassed a significant amount of experience in that line. He serves in numerous boards, such as the KPA Retirements Benefits Scheme 2012.
